The Subliminal McCain

by Doug Robertson

McCain. Who’d have thunk it? War veteran, border state maverick hero … and possible pedophilic incestuous quick shooter.

You be the judge. Impressive wood, though, I must say. And I hear that there are exercises a guy can do to get that “quick shoot” thing under control.

Yep, Lucas McCain, The Rifleman. Civil War vet, rebel do-gooder hailing from down New Mexico way. I do love my classic TV. I’d just never realized how retrospectively disconcerting some of it could be!

Turns out, seems that McCain may not have been all that he was at first cracked up to be.

What’s that? John who? Oh, yeah. Duh. My bad. I know him.

The old guy.
That other war hero.
Transexually-shunned.

Sorry for waxing nostalgic. My original train of thought completely derailed, I apologize. I’ll try to avoid becoming so easily distracted in the future.

Don’t you all want to see how a woman runs the most powerful country on earth?

It may well give women’s right’s groups the excuse they need to shut up and sit down for a change….

The private lives of politicians are their own concern. What matters the most is exactly HOW they will run the country?

But of course, the endless obsession Americans have with the lives of other people takes center stage. When I travelled to the U.S. (3 months after 9/11) I was mightily impressed by the galvanizing effect it had on the general populace….what happened?…are you all squabbling over nothing yet again? Do you really have to make political capital of the private mores of Bill clinton ALL the time?…Women are attracted by power, influence and, most of all, MONEY…Bill had all three, so if he got what he wanted out of some silly social climber (aren’t they all), then what on earth does that have to do with anything?

American politics should revolve around the JOB, rather than the individual’s sex life…you are not ready for an Afro-american pres just yet, and the others are all colourless. Hilary is a woman, and will get the job done as no other man could….and if Bill wants to bend her over in the Oval Office…so what?…How many people out there have had a “bit” with someone at work?

Maybe, just maybe, she might be the best thing that could ever happen to the White House….and she certainly won’t be appearing as a Centerfold girl anytime soon, so what do you have to lose?

There are jobs for men, and jobs for women…politics is a job that women do much better…it’s not such an all pervading power and ego trip for them….If she wants to “shock’ you all by doing a good job, then give her a shot…..It will close the very open mouths of every woman in America…no mean feat….

and oh god, I just had to comment on the wide-eyed fellow in the Rifleman poster, and the positioning of the “log” whilst “Marlboro Man” looks down with an “aw shucks smirk…

    “Is it really THAT big?”
“You bet your life it is, boy!”

IS that SONNY TUFTS as the Rifleman….nobody has pointed this out yet…and the kid looks like DONDI in a Western flick….I’m not sure whether to classify this poster as gay, peodophilic, or what….but it certainly is a classic movie poster to have on any Gay website in the country……BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN gone wrong…

  11. Christopher Says:

OK OK Chuck connors…may his name be forever pink at this stage……and yes…the “quick shoot” “thing” was HILARIOUS…SUBLIMINALITY CAN BE CRUEL…

classic piece of “black” propaganda….no prizes for guessing exactly who our Blog poster will vote for…..
